What does "thermally modified" mean?
The timber is treated with heat and steam only - no chemicals. That is what makes it dimensionally stable and resin-free, so it will not weep or warp in a hot, humid room.
Is it sold per board or per square metre?
Per board. Tell us your wall and ceiling measurements and we will work out the board count for you before you order.
Where in the sauna does this go?
Walls, ceiling. Cladding is for the wall and ceiling lining, not for benches.
Is Aspen better than pine for a sauna?
Aspen stays comfortable to touch at sauna temperatures and is knot-free, which is why it is the usual choice for surfaces you make contact with. We are not going to tell you pine is unusable - it is a question of contact comfort and appearance.
