Our Thermo Aspen interior cladding boards are crafted from premium European timber, thermally modified using only heat and steam—without chemicals—to enhance stability, durability and appearance in sauna environments.
Featuring the KYTE-S profile, a distinctive cladding design for premium sauna interiors, these boards introduce architectural detail and visual depth to walls and ceilings. Their considered profile creates an elevated, contemporary finish, making them ideal for feature walls, statement ceilings or adding a refined design element to an entire sauna interior.
The thermal modification process alters the wood’s cellular structure, reducing moisture absorption and improving dimensional stability to help minimise warping, shrinking and movement through repeated cycles of heat and humidity.
Naturally pale in its original form, European Aspen develops a warm, golden-brown colour through heat treatment, adding subtle tonal depth while retaining its fine grain and smooth appearance. Combined with the distinctive KYTE-S profile, this creates a sophisticated timber finish that brings warmth, texture and a sense of luxury to premium sauna spaces.
